Summer Adventures on the Lake


Fishing

Cast a line right from your private dock or boat out into the depths of Caribou Lake. Anglers love the healthy populations of lake trout, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and panfish.

Boating and Paddling

Use our complimentary canoes, kayaks, and row boats—or bring your own. The lake is calm, clear, and perfect for exploring in peace. Each cabin comes with your own private kayaks and row boat or you can bring your own boat.

Swimming

Take a refreshing dip in the clean waters of Caribou Lake. sandy bottomed are perfect for families and swimmers of all ages.

Outdoor Dining and Fire Pits

Cook out on your grill, gather around a fire pit, and enjoy a long evening under the stars. Firewood is available for purchase on-site.

Wildlife Viewing

Loons, eagles, deer, and foxes are commonly seen. Bring binoculars and a camera—you won’t be disappointed.


Hiking and Photography
The Chippewa National Forest lights up in brilliant reds, oranges, and golds. Enjoy quiet walks through trails right from the resort or explore nearby state lands and historic routes.

    Yes, we’re happy to recommend outfitters, fishing guides, or equipment rentals in the area.

  • Can we bring our own recreational gear?

    Of course—bring bikes, skis, snowshoes, fishing rods, or boats. We provide basic paddling gear free of charge.

  • Is the area good for photography or wildlife watching?

    Absolutely. Many guests return specifically for birding, nature photography, or peaceful walks.
